WHAT THEY ARE SAYING

My son has attended Project Growth since leaving school at the end of 2021. Alex started going 2 days a week and will now be attending the program 4 days a week from Feb 2023.

As a young man living in a house full of females, Alex loves his time at Project and is forming great friendships with other males. From chilling out at headquarters to attending a night AFL game, walking through the bush to going to the movies Alex loves every day he spends there.

The staff of caring young men that love and care for him gives me comfort whilst l go to work.

Project Growth go above and beyond even taking Alex to medical appointments when l haven't been able to. They have worked with Alex and myself to ensure that he is safe happy and most importantly learning everyday life skills along the way.

I highly recommend not only the staff of PG but also the participants as they all interact as "one big happy family on holiday"

Project Growth has been a much needed addition to the Ballarat and surrounding areas – this program has provided many of our participants with the opportunity to build social skills, positive friendships, community access and the exploration of new activity options.

We particularly like that the program staff are easy to contact, communicate with and they are great at accommodating the needs of each participant.

We have received positive feedback from the participants attending. We would highly recommend this program to others and encourage other support coordinators to connect with Project Growth.

Blake has grown while at Project Growth. His confidence has increased to the point he now doesn't shy away from trying new things because he knows he has the support of other young men around his age and ability.

Although Blake has his drivers licence, sometimes it's not practical for him to drive himself. PG offers a pick up and drop off service. This gives piece of mind even before he could drive so we as his parents didn't have to try and juggle work and drop off/pick up.

Project growth has been amazing in regards to my son making new friends, community access and even trying things he would not of before.

I have seen my son flourish with his confidence, he even comes home with a bounce in his step and a smile from ear to ear. The staff are fantastic, always willing to listen, help and support. I would definitely recommend project growth.

Project Growth has allowed Jesse to become his own person, showing and feeling comfortable in being himself:- fun, happy and most importantly being one of the boys.

The team at Project Growth have instilled in Jesse to be respectful and part of a team of young men, enjoying daily activities. The variety of activities that they are offering Jesse, things that Jesse enjoys as part of a team and as an individual.

The team at Project Growth are always flexible and informative, and nothing is too much trouble. Jesse loves the team at Project Growth, from the start Jesse has grown in self-confidence and independence.

This is a great service, and I would highly recommend this program to anyone with special needs.

Making a major location move is hard enough to do for anyone, let alone an 18 year old youth in year 11, who has moved away from family and friends to a new school and a new life.  Much harder still with such a youth with Autism.

My son had found socialising in a new environment and new school very difficult and true friends hard to find and hold.

We are both so thankful for finding “Project Growth” and for Sam, Bryson and the team for making it happen.

In the few short weeks since he has joined this youth program he has found a genuine connection and a base to build new friendships and is the happiest and most positive he has been since the move.

In his own words, “I love it!”. Not only has he thoroughly enjoyed his short time at Project Growth, but my son has now gained a much more positive and engaging outlook towards school and the strive for independence and prospect for future employment thanks to their entertaining, socially engaging, educational and supportive program.

He and I both look forward to every   activity, and every future week to come and I would highly recommend Project Growth to any adolescent youth on the AS with similar issues in finding productive social connections.

Project Growth has helped with building social skills and providing positive environment for my participant who was reluctant linking in with supports. Since starting with PG he hasn’t missed a day.

Project Growth offers an array of supports to suit all participants as well as give those a chance to try new things. I like how the PG team also assist with positive mentoring.

I would definitely recommend Project Growth to all coordinators.

I'm thankful to the team at Project Growth. We were looking for some time to find a provider that suited Jaxon needs. Being a part of a young male group has encouraged Jaxon to see the value of being a part of a group . No matter what your abilities are. Being social working as a group to achieve.

He's cooking , shopping going to sporting events all things that interest Jaxon working with the group of amazing young men making choices and learning to improve he's daily living skills.

Working with the Project Growth team to break down hes goals that both Jaxon and myself would love for him to achieve.

Project Growth team are always approachable at anytime day or evening which is always great for me as lm overprotective if you ask Jaxon !!!

Jaxon has gone away to Darwin over night stay which he loved. As respite not just for me but giving him the opportunity to see life away from home. The support team were amazing every step of the way in planning working with me to ensure l was comfortable with the plans at all times. Ensure funds were available in his NDIS.

I encourage parents of young males to sit down with Project Growth . Have a discussion, they have achieved so many goals for Jaxon and he's loving being a part of the Project Growth team .
